Benedict in Lourdes : 13-15 September 2008

It is now official: The Pope is coming to Lourdes to celebrate the 150th anniversary Of the Apparitions, from Saturday 13 to Monday 15 September. Lourdes is preparing for the visit. Everyone is welcome.

To facilitate people travelling to Lourdes by car for the Pope's visit, there will be a number of car-parks available outside the town. There will be a free bus service to bring people into the town.

World Youth Day in Lourdes

For those young people who are not able to travel to Australia for the World Youth Day in Sydney, you are welcome to come to Lourdes from 15-20 July.

Lourdes associated with the Quebec congress

The next Eucharistic congress will take place in Quebec from the 15-22 June. The theme of the congress is"The Eucharist given by God for the life of the world".
Lourdes will be associated with the Quebec congress by means of a special programme we are offering to pilgrims who will be here on those dates. The Eucharistic congress highlights one of the 12 Missions of Lourdes for this year : The Church nourished by the Eucharist.
